With the EU Ship Recycling Regulation published in 2013, the European Commission decided to send EU flagged ships to the countries that meet and are included in the list and put the Approved Ship Recycling List into effect in December 2018. Since 31 December 2018, EU flagged ships could only be dismantled at the ship recycling facilities on this list.
The EU Commission, in the case with a capacity of 1 million tons of Turkey's EU than Turkey are not included in the list of recycling of EU-flagged ships dismantled in another country can not be explained.
Öge Ship Dismantling, which managed to enter the list from non-EU countries, also completed its approval process as of last week.
Having successfully completed the inspection process in 2019, Öge Ship Dismantling took its place in the list of EU Ship Recycling facilities as of January 24.
